Address Lockdown is this Thursday
We are almost there! Components are printing and the factory is pushing to have games out the loading dock before the Golden Week holiday in October. We have fulfillment partners standing by, and now they need your mailing address.
So, we are closing the BackerKit survey for address changes this Thursday night (@ 10pm PST). You may have already received a "Final Notice" email. Please be sure to enter any address changes in the next 24 hours to ensure your games arrive hassle free. After that, we can't be sure your fairies are handled with care.
Did I mentions that (due to our shipping strategy) international backers may even get their games before US backers... magic!
Factory Update
So many pictures and products mailed back and forth, it is hard to describe it all. Here is my favorite update; Dollar (the factory kitten) sporting your fairy crown!
Cards, boxes, boards, tokens, crowns, playmats and rules are ready for assembly. Bags and game trays are in production, and the sticker insert is getting measured twice to align text to card slots. Sleeves are in transit and we even have the logos for the cardboard packing cases ready. Fickle is 90% complete!
Fickle Holidays
Backers have championed a small delay to ensure quality, with the condition that we have games ready for December holidays. I just want to make sure everyone knows we are definitely on track for Holiday fulfillment, thanks to the magic of our fairy support team!

Product Updates
So many components are flying through the factory! Cards are being cut, wood tokens are being heat transferred, play mats are stacked, card sleeves are being packed in zip-locks and Fickle Frenzy crowns being sourced... because the factory ran out! I guess that is the good kind-of-problem, we sold too many things.
The great news is that all our components are coming together.
More Pictures
The last two months has been mostly work, but here is a little bit of play to keep the Fickle team going!
Fickle Cards on their cut sheets!
Bumps in the Road
As we work on the logistics and timing of shipments, it hasn't all been perfect. There are a few production challenges that are slowing us down through the factory;
Ran out of crowns; That's right! We have 500+ Fickle Frenzy crowns to ship, and the factory is racing to make more. I will get more information on the crowns next week, but I believe the factory will have them all assembled next week.
Bag needs restitching; we want the Fickle bag to be a high quality product for you. The materials, knots, bag assembly and such are all wonderful. The Logo stitching was less than first quality. So, we are having the stitching redone. It is mostly a software solution, so I believe we will have a fix and update in just a few days.
Tray insert dominoes; the crown dimension (among others) is a key piece of information needed to make an insert that fits and protects all your treasures. So, I decided to delay the tray until we have all the components confirmed. Once we have the final dimensions, we can create the center sticker to ensure each game is organized. Tray assembly is underway now, and will take a week longer to make the prototype.
I hope you agree that Quality should be our first priority, even as it presses against our delivery goal. Unless I get some pleasant surprises in the next 4 days, I believe these delays are adding about 2 extra weeks to in the factory. This puts us delivering games to you in early/ mid October.
I am also working with our allies at Easyship to see what strategies we can employ to speed logistics. Anticipating the question, air freight is not an option, $40 shipping per game (US)!
What do you think? Would you cut a few quality corners to save a delivery date, or post a few apologies to fight for best quality? You are helping make these games, let me know what you would do.

Votes are in...
On the play mat and Card Sleeves. We were overwhelmed with over 200 backers sharing their input, you are all wonderful!
Ultimately we accepted the Wisdom of the Crowd and sent the most supported files for your add-ons;
Files are Flying
Like a swarm of fairies, graphic files have been buzzing across Dropbox to our manufacturing teams. All our images, cards, bags and crowns are underway. This means we are on track for September, assuming no surprises.
So now we wait....
GIF me Wyoming!
To celebrate all the work we have completed, I went on a vacation last week to visit family in Wyoming. Instead of the painful vacation slide show, how about a few Wyoming GIFs!

Survey Locks Tomorrow
Just a friendly reminder. If you have completed your BackerKit survey, then tonight is your last opportunity to add/ update your purchases. Tomorrow we will close those surveys to begin order processing. Don't worry, we will check your mailing address again when the games are ready to ship.
If you have not completed your survey, then we will assume your pledge is complete. If we dont have you address updated, you risk delays (or worse)! Please complete your survey.
ComiCon 50
We had an amazing time sharing our insights on branded board games, experiencing the fun, and exploring new worlds to share in board games.
SPOILER: I also had great meetings at ComiCon with our partners on Sherlock Holmes and Battlefield Earth... some of our upcoming Kickstarters.
Fickle Fun Book Testing
I sent the Fickle Fun Book to three of our Superbackers, so they could test the puzzles and make sure the eBook is ready for you. I will send you all an update next week, when I hear back from them... I think they got stuck around Puzzle #8...
